House Hold Headaches

Since last year I havent written anymore in here.  Two very convincing and reasonable reasons for that:

First: I didnt feel like adding any scrap in here. (yes, I dont write under pressure, folks)

Second: I’ve begun my official blog, in MSN Spaces.  In Portuguese, since many people have complained they couldnt understand my words. Dont know portuguese?  Oh... Well, well, nothing is perfect.

But......but!!!!  A new dilema has popped up in my life and this is the right time I wrote about it. In English, yes. Today i feel like writing in the Shakespeare Language.

Look at the tittle: House  Hold   headache

Yes, my friends...  The maintenance of a home is something that should be taught since elementary school, or, at least, mothers should be more conscious about that and teach their children since they are able to speak a simple sentence – subject – verb – object  in an understandable way.

In fact, if I may go further on this, this subject  “home keeping” could be divided in credits, just like they do at university. Along 10 years, the kid would be exposed to a wide range of topics, divided into credits, each one having eventually, a final project to be accomplished

We could start, say, in Basic ones , like measuring rooms (maths, geometry). This would take the first year of a freshman (kid?) and would worth 20 credits to his final graduation process.  The final project would be like going to decoration stores and making a whole planing of furnishing of the rooms in the house, taking into consideration the real measurements of each room, and also, why not? A real plan drawn at CAD. (Come on, 7 year-old  little fellows know how to deal with computers better than us, dont they?)

At a certain point of the child’s study, he would have 4 semesters, making the total of 2 years,  of  basic maintenance skills.  We could divide the 4 years into “White goods”, “Carpentry”,  “Houseware” and finally, “Electronic Appliances”.   Or, if this sound too complicated, dividing the 2 years into : 1st term: kitchen/laundry appliances, 2nd term: living room/ dining room; 3rd term: bathroom, restroom and conservatory and finally the 4th term: bedrooms/study/home theatre. Well.  This would keep the kid busy for 2 years and at the end of this period, he could work part time at the next-door fixing/repair centre.

These super educated teens would declare war against all those snakes-like, butt-headed, arses, thieves, who call themselves as “authorized personel” who screw us up everytime we need to call them to save us from a “not getting the water heated” washing machine, “cant stop leaking” tap and even from a “the flushing doesnt seem to be working” toilete

In my case, I would have saved bags of money and would have kept updated with my “book of life” years, as I feel i have decreased my life expectancy due to the sordid, sadic, evil stress which these kinds of troubles brought into my life.  Medical Insurance plans could be replaced for a minor and more basic plan, no need anymore of  hospital interventions due to hysteria and imobilization (most arms) for a week.

The impact on the members of the society would be so great that many carreers, liberal professionals would have to consider a “plan B” and change professions.

The psychologists would feel the impact as first in the row, they would have their rooms emptied and the divan left for the dust to accumulate over it.  On a second phase, the psychiatrists would also feel that the number of patients had diminished and this would make them change for “butchery” carreers instead.

The numebr of divorces would fall abruptely.  Believe me.  Yes, I know you can spot the reasons.  We, women, think that every man on the face of Earth was born with a microship installed (maybe this explains their body extreme shapes, eh?) that enables them to work out any sort of incident and malpractice in our home appliances.  From A to Z, men are believed to know how to emend, fix, repair, paint, glue etc etc absolutely anything inside a house.  But, only when we get married we find out that their skills are awful and indeed, they are also, victims of the Fixing/Repair People Empire.

Well, this we actually find out after their attempts to satisfy our illusions about “how smart they are”  and they end up screwing the bits even more than they were already.  Yes.  Dont look this way.  We all know that you did try to fix that noisy door one day and spoiled the carpet by dropping oil on it.  That stain is the proof that I know what I am talking about.  Your “superman” confidence and your “I know everything” philosophy (since cavemen age) is the responsible for the sudden rise in the bill whenever we need to replace any “surrounding areas”  or bits near the target.

On the other hand, men would get freed from the usual female quote: “I told you!” . So, as seen and concluded, we all would be able to carry on our relationships, married, without any external threat, and any further accidents.

So, at the end, you would still have your money and ur life expectancy on the tracks.

Attention: I havent checked this text for spelling mistakes and stuff. So, I f you do feel disturbed by the gross mistakes I have made, go learn a second language and try to write this much at one go. And, after that, get ur mid finger and stick it up to.,.... u know where.

Imagine a place with many people, each one with a different background, a different education, different life experiences, different views of the world, some with huge knowledge of culture variations, many ones who have barely stepped outside their 1,000 inhabitants towns.

Then give them something to think of and to share.

Make them all speak one language and through this, express themselves and make their points out.

Now...

Think of a good reason to them all stick together?

YEAH!

How incredible it is to have so many people together !

SEARCHING FOR A HOST

Hello Blog!

Here I am again, and this time with another "thing to worry".

I was thinking of going and have my Blog in another address, at another host, as this one is a paid one and I am not sure if I will be able to carry on subscribing to UOL and also, when in England, I wont be paying for a UOL subscription as it wont make any sense.

I will ask, surely, Chris to sign up for GLOBO.COM, as it will enable me to see the soapoperas and other TV programs through computer when I am there.  Cos I am sure I will miss watching my fave Tv programs and my lovely and exciting soaps, lol

But, anyway...  The point is that I need to find a reasonable nice cyber space to post my blog from now on and I have been thinking about the spaces I know already, such as:

BLOGGER.COM

BLOGGER is cool has a division on themes of posts, and etc. But the way ppl see it, its layout for posting comments is not so cool, no.  Also, the person must add the blog into his/her faves, otherwise will never find again..

Also, another bad thing is that it doesnt have a RSS system, which enables the readers to be informed when a message has been posted.

HUmm.... Naa....  dont think I will move to BLOGGER....

Another Host I have used is Flickr.  This is for Pics uploadings, and I just HATE this name. It carries a space for a blog but the main point is the Pic sharing.  The template is "okay", not that cool but still works.  Again, it has no RSS...

FOTOLOG is just for pic sharing. It can work out as a BLOg too, as u can write in the pic caption, the text u want, it has RSS, but I think FOTOLOG is more to do with pics really, not a BLOG thing. In my point of view, sure.

MULTIPLY is "ok". Although I think it is rather confusing, I never know straight away where things are. But still one to consider.

But one i have really been considering to be my "official" blog is this MSN SPACE thing .

Its cool as it instantly warns ur friends that a post have been added, as u can see a yellow star hanging by the name of the person when she is connected into MSN.  It is cool.

Another point is that it can hold pics and blog.

So, I wouldnt have to spread out my pics around all those flogs/blogs/jounals, but i would upload them in just one place.

What do you think?

Well. I will try and see what I decide...

Meanwhile, I leave the other addresses of places I have already left my footsteps, lol

http://crissy.multiply.com/

http://spaces.msn.com/members/justanothersillyblog/

http://www.fotolog.net/crissy

http://forumdeprovocacoes.blogspot.com/

and flogs and fotoblogs too.

The relationship between me and I

At one side, a woman who wants to grow, someone who urges to find happiness and live this feeling.  A woman for whom all obstacles were always easy to overcome and was always very hard working, leaving her own personal aside when it called out for her to go and fight for her plans and desires.

On the other side, a woman who cant simply get out from bed, who is weak and suffering and is morally broken.

This second woman is the person id like to share some lines about in here.

My days are being so boring, so boring, so depressing and so stupid that i really cant say a word about them w/o swearing.

I am not used to stay doing nothing and rely on hopes and promisses and most of all asking others for favours.

I feel extremelly abandoned.

Searching for a Job

Yeah, I'm searching for new job, as I got into a difficult deadline in my job at Skill, with my boss reacting very stupidly to me and teachers, his mind disturbed daughter making her moves against my ideas, and all the problems that I had been facing in the last months.  So, we had a long talk (about 2 hours), and he exposed his thoughts - as well a I did, and according to his proposal - which was outrageous, I had nothing let to choose than being dismissed.

It was very surprising , as I didnt expect this thing to happen that way, I mean, I had plans to leave school, but not that way.

I had exactly 6 hours to pack my things, leave everything in order, and leave.  Raul and the driver (!!) from the school helped me packing and the driver gave me a lift home with my things in a box (a big one) and a black sack, those ones we use for litter. (!!)

I packed everything i had produced, not leaving even a microscopic evidence of my plans, works, projects behind.  Anyway, since then, I have been sending a thousand CV's everywhere, talked to many people, cried, laughed, and most of all, have been reflecting on my career, on my wishes, on my behaviour and especially on my future.

Some funny facts happened lately, before and after Chris visit to me, I have been to Saint Giles School, a very nice school, (but too far), spoke to the director and she wanted me to teach there in the very early mornings, at 7am. Good grief, cant make it in time to that, no way.  Its a 90 minute journey till that school and I wouldnt be able to wake up at 5am and head to the school at 5.30am.  No way.

I declined the proposal then.

Another school I have been invited to work for is a Canadian School. Not a franchise system, thank god, but still, very small (about 50 students) and again, they wanted me to work there everyday at 7am, didnt pay for my transport and it means that i would be spending 1/3 from my wages with transport, which makes no sense, and would be earning far less if compared to the schools around Moema.

Then, after Chris left, I been to Planet School, and Im still going there. Reason: its just 3 blocks from home (saves in transport) and they are renewing their team of teachers, which means that I will get more classes.

The pay is shit, u actually gain in quantity, like, having to work 3 periods in order to have 2/3 of what I was used to earn during 3 years of my life. What a shit.

But anyway, i still have chances to complete my day/night working for other schools and lets see if I can make my salary increase. Cos i really need that.

But something very curious is the "quality" of those ppl in charge for recruiting the teachers....  Disappointing...  I will jot down some of the wise quotes i have been listening during my interviews and talks with them:

"What's the Theoretical Philosophy applied in the schools headline for the courses?"

"Oh, Communicative.  We dont believe in methodology, but in good teaching"
- Caroline - Saint Giles School

"Conversation."
- Chou, Planet School

"The book 'new Interchange'"
- Sergio, Canadian Language School.

Ferdinand de Sausurre, "father" of linguistics

Heaven helps me!!  Sausurre!!! Help me!!! I want to work with good intelectual people!!! Not a bunch of rats!!!

 Vygotsky, "father" of socio-interacionism

Vygotsky!! Look at me!! Pray for me!!! Im your daughter, need a shelter!! feed me with your intelligence!!  feed those dummies!!!

This is ME,being tortured, listening to all that amount of shit crap

Its unbelievable how these ppl "have the power" in schools! This is the reason why I kept receiving new teachers from other schools so weak in methodology, so wek in terms of knowlegment, so crap!! They had those people as bosses!! As commander, as captain of their ship!!  A person who simply replies: "Conversation", thinking that he was speaking to a dumb, who would accept "conversation" as the "theoretical headline" for the conception of the courses...  Goooshhh!!!  "Conversation" ???

The "chiefs"
The class I had to attend as "part of training" (they believe that a training is a simply attendance of a class) was something I almost fainted.

The teacher, a blonde young male teacher, looking like a surfer, wearing a "sweeden" t-shirt, with such a high pitch voice, kept repeating the conjugation of verbs with no context at all while the two victims (oops, students) were repeating them.  Sometimes he would make direct translation to some vocabulary and most of the times, students were simply repeating words.

After repeating, he would say: "So, any doubts?"

Any doubts??

Doubts about what???  I reply.  (in my mind, of course, my horse)

Hall of Fame

HALL OF FAME !!

On thursday we are having the 2nd big party - since I started working there, for the end of term, with Dj, lights, food, beverages, theme rooms (years 60, 70, 80 and 90), clowns etc.

we are in a big rush all over, gathering itens from the banquet, hiring clowns, setting students tasks etc.

My life at school has been very hectic and at a constant climbing up stairs, and running through the path, carrying bags with sausages, bread, and all sort of itens, talking to teachers and all that stuff.

What to do to relax and rest during these days? Just to come home, checking mails, replying scraps at orkut, speaking to Kika on the phone - and all her troubles at her work - which sincerely makes me think i have a good job, lol And, wathcing tv until late at night

One thing is making me worry:  the weather.

Hope it doesnt rain, as the party is all made outdoors.

Anyway, lets see what is coming up.

WORLD SPORT

Very weird weekend for Sport!!!

First, we see Argentina beating Australia.  Well, this is not too strange, as Aussies have no tradition in football, think they prefer Rugby better, dunno really.  But to make a long story short, seeing Argees winning a football match is always a pain in the neck, so, I add this argees vistory in this post, lol

Isnt this mascot a bit faggy? lol

I think so! lol

Second :

F1 - Ok, F1 started this year w/o the boredom of watching the same old one win and win and win.  These new rules added more excitment as it gave more chances for the real technique which every pilot has, not only the power of their cars engines.

But this sunday, something really weird happened: the first race with just 6 cars racing !!lol  And everything due to a problem in the Michelin - a french tyre co, so, that was really weird.  Also, the "fight" and "strange atmosphere" between Schummi and Barichelo.  Gosh.

Fans of ferrari, booing

Schummi weird face - as if he was thinking: "what the hell?"

Michellin Tyres, the focus of attention, lol

Third: Brazil lost for Mexico.

This is a fact.  our team w/o Ronaldo (madri) is not the same.

What the fuck?

A funny moment.  Yes, we have bananas, lol

GUARANÁ BERRY

guaraná bushes.

Botanical Name: Paullinia Cupana

Common Name: Brazilian cocoa

Parts Used: Crushed seeds

System Effected: Kidney and adrenals

Properties: Stimulant, nervine, aphrodisiac, febrifuge.

Used For:  . From the tannin it contains it is useful for mild forms of leucorrhoea, diarrhoea, etc., but its chief use in Europe and America is for headache, especially if of a rheumatic nature. It is a gentle excitant and serviceable where the brain is irritated or depressed by mental exertion, or where there is fatigue or exhaustion from hot weather. Its benefit is for nervous headache or the distress that accompanies menstruation, or exhaustion following dissipation. It is not recommended for chronic headache or in cases where it is not desirable to increase the temperature, or excite the heart or increase arterial tension. Dysuria often follows its administration. It is used by the Indians for bowel complaints, but is not indicated in cases of constipation or blood pressure.

In the perpetual search for the Next Big Thing, beverage producers everywhere are taking another look at guaraná, the light, mildly sweet beverage made from the extract of the Amazonian guaraná plant.
   — Beverage World

Berries from the Brazilian rain forest are coming soon to a bottle of juice, tea or cola near you...Until a few months ago, guaraná was virtually unknown nationally and mostly limited to South American beverages. But suddenly, the berries – rumored to be everything from stimulants to aphrodisiacs – are the buzz of the beverage word.
   — USA Today

In Brazil, they guzzle the stuff by the gallon.... Down there the three main guaraná brands make up 16% of the roughly $3 billion Brazilian soft drink market.
   — Forbes

 My love simply adores Guaraná.

If it wasnt so much sweet, then I would lvoe having it too.  I prefer less sweet tastes, but Guaraná , the light, or diet version is still crap.  They ought to create a formula with a better taste.  It still tastes aspartame and it leaves a bitter sensation in ur mouth.  So, I rarely have Guaraná although I still hope they come up with a better taste for the light version.

But, when I want to add some sugar into my diet, I usually have guaraná syrup (which I can measure the amount of it ) and ice cubes and cold water. Mix everything in a mixer, a shaker, until it gets sparkling, and then, add a slice of sweet orange in the glass.  Voilá!! A delicious soft drink for summer days :)

But, dont forget  ===>>  Guaraná is still caffeine...  It makes u feel awake and it has the same effects as Cola drinks.  So, here, we usually add some guaraná powder (raw powder) to our cups of coffee when we want to spend the night all though awaken.

Tastes horrible, but it works.

During University, I used to take Guaraná Pills (about 2 or 3) and coffee.  So that I could spend the whole night studying for an examination of something.  It is more powerful than Red Bull energetic drinks.  Much more!! And it is no chemical at all!

Guaraná (gwah-rah-NAH) is derived from a berry (Paullinia Cupana) found growing throughout a swath of Brazil ranging from the Amazon to Bahia.  The seeds are ground and used widely in products as diverse as a popular Brazilian soft drink (called "guaraná" of course), to the capetas (little devils) served at drink stands, to "energizing" açai, to ampules of liquid (Arrebite is a popular one) which can be purchased in farmácias for an energy kick.  The ground powder itself can be purchased in farmácias for use as one sees fit (added to homemade vitaminas or simply stirred into water or a soft drink).

The "thing" about guaraná is its energizing property, and there is some polemic about in that the boost from guaraná is somehow different from that derived from coffee.  This has led a lot of people to believe that the energizing substance in guaraná is chemically different from caffeine.

It isn't.

What is different is that guaraná seeds have a high fat content, even after having been reduced to a powder.  This fat slows down the rate of caffeine release, so that rather than the fast up (and down) provided by coffee, guaraná provides a much smoother and long-lasting ride.  The flavor of the powder is pretty atrocious, but sweetened and in small amounts (per the soft drinks) it's very pleasant.

BAck to real life

Get so boring here witout Chris, gosh.

You know when u are beside a person, living with this person, waking up and going to sleep with this same person, sharing meals, planning days, enjoying nights, and, all of a sudden, this person just vanishes from ur sight?

Its like being absorbed in a dream for a week, or, like being inside a capsule, frozen, and sleep for days and nigths,  and then, all of a sudden, u wake up, and live ur days, but just for a week.  After that period ur back to the capsule and then it shuts its cover, and there u are again...

I make my best to touch his skin as many times as possible, feeling his skin, his hands, his scent, being stuck together all the times, good times, bad times, healthy or sick (as it was the case), in bad or good mood, doesnt matter.  I simply stuck together and dont let him go!  How wodnerful sensation i felt when the staff from BA airlines told us he would have to stay in Brazil for one more day!  I thought it was a sort of "prize" for being able to overcome all the troubled waters that our second meeting held, with so many accidents, confusing things happening, a lot of stressful moments, and finally, we got a prize: more hours, to lay down, to stay in the nude, just feeling his body, his body hair, his breath, his kisses on my body, all over.

I usually dont like to know that the love we are making is the last one before a long term gap, so I sort of avoid any sexual thing on the day I know one of us will have to leave the other.  But this time, I got so happy we would have the opportunitty to be more hours together, that I simply didnt care! Just had a shower, got into bed - naked - of course, embraced my dearest one and together, we fell asleep, vey cosy, very warm, he holding my hand next to his chest, tightening his fingers around my ones, feel so good.  After a while, we woke up, and then we chatted for a while and decided to kiss and hug and make a delicious love together.   While I was there, under his body - which i simply love, I many times thought to myself: "Gosh, this is our last time making love...."  But what could I do? I wanted to be there in his arms, I wanted to take the risk of feeling terrible after we made love and rushed to the airport.  I simply didnt care.

But Chris has a special way to conduct his orchestra...

He knows how to make me feel not bad at all when we have to go and rush, either to a taxi stop or to the airport itself.  He is very delicate, sensitive and completely sweet.

He is my baby.

I wonder what he thinks of when we are making love for the last time.... Or, even whether he does thinks of something similar, like "Gee, we're making love for the last time ", or something.  Humm.. dunno really.  I am told men only thinks of the physical aspect of things - and about women, but gosh, they cant be that dumb all the time, I bet they do think of things we women find important, but the thing is that they simply dont show it off....  (I think)

The thing is: Im feeling very empty here inside my heart.  Not because i dont feel anything there, but due to his absence... Its being hard, gosh.  I wanted him to decide at once and choose a place for us to live and so, we could reset our lives and turn the page of "inoquous" mode, and go ahead for our second half of life, the most important half.  The half we are going to share together, and build up a house, a family and gosh, see life together and laugh at it together.

U know what?

I think the following:  If he feels as much love for me as I do feel for him, he will find a way out of it. We can not spend more time like we are now.  Cos it generates stress, depression, loneliness, waste of money, and more important: waste of time.  Maybe he is afraid to run the risk? Humm..  Life is like a roulette game

We ought to make our bets and wait for it to spin and stop.  If we have made the right choice? Well, I think everyone when decided to stay for a life with another person, he thinks hes making the most correct decision, and only time will tell.  Only some aspects must be observed, that can help ones to guide his options:

1) Feeling of love
2) Feeling of missing
3) Respect
4) Admiration
5) Reflection of attitudes
6) Dialogues
7) Interests
8) Philosophy
9) Intentions & Planning
10) Love

If they are all running in the same pace, bet the couple will be happy.

Dialogue is the most important topic along with love.

Must have dialogues, keep conversation flowing.  No dialogue, no friendship.
no friendship, no love.

Love my baby, missing him loads.

Want to be with him.
Turn the page of book of life, begin a new beginning

Finally Chris got in here!!

Although it was only for 7 days - he got an extra day by the end of his journey, those were really hectic, funny, nice and sweet days!

Unfortunately I could not be absent from work and when he arrived (Tuesday 24th), I had to leave him on his own here, 'locked' in my apartment.  Also on Wednesday I had to go work before our trip to Maceió and I missed a day from work (monday) as he had problems with his flight back to Uk and had to fly on Tuesday, at 5:30am.

But this experience was very rich and very rewarding for both of us!  Firstly because it was his first time down the Equator line and not only that, he was also for his first time, spending some wild days in a country where little he knew about, and also is very different from his homeland.

I can not even have a clue on what he actually thought and felt as he was here seeing how things were like, how ppl behaved like etc, as sincerely, there is NO comparison to England, at any detail.  Everything is pretty different from sky, air, to street pavement, lol

Plus, he had unfortunately - but very likely to happen, a stomach poisoning who had spoiled very much his holidays, as we couldnt leave the hotel for 3 days to explore the beaches, and travel around the palces there, and there were so many nice places to be seen , gosh, it was a real pity he didnt feel well.  By the way, I would be very surprised if he hadnt had any sort of stomach ache, as it is 'mandatory' for foreigner's stomaches, lol  Think it is because our food has spices that their food doesnt have, plus all those different stuff, and the heat from the sun in their heads.  Anyway, at least, he didnt escape the 'cliché' of being in the toilet that all foreigners experience in here, lol

Next time, bet he will be more frightened to eat stuff -lol, but this is useless as he must eat something, and whatever he eats or drinks in here will feel different in his stomach, even water, lol

Isnt this sky so beautiful?? It matches with the sea colour! Think Chris was happy   I was very much happy!!!

My babe by the sand, enjoying the breeze and the sun.

Chris by the native flora, lol

By the hotal kioske-bar :)  Chris is striking a pose, lol

The view from the hotel room balcony:)  So nice to wake up and see this green-blue ocean :)

I will write the chapters (lol) one by one and not to miss any one out from the list, Chris and I have prepared a list:

1. The long journey 30 minutes delay at airport and finally meeting at gate and hugs
2. I enter Sao Paulo streets and we wait for a taxi, my feet are on the ground
3. when I get to the building , I nearly have to carry a suitcase up 13 flights of stairs
4. Cris makes yorkshire tea as if by magic
5. The sensation of the portugese voices everywhere
6. Getting Tim Brasil on my mobile lol
7. The difference in the road surfaces and driving and signs
8. The height of the coconut trees
9. THIS ITEM IS FORBIDEN FOR PUBLIC
10. cars not stopping at crossings
11. spending monopoly money
12. Cris swimming and coming back all wet ..mmmmm
13. press this number and get out of elevator
14. not being able to eat my choc moussse lol
15. the good feeling of having dinner together
16. warm kisses mmmmm
